We've started a new series, being the (friendly) competitive bunch that we are. The #fourthfloorcookoff will happen about once a month, and will feature a dazzling competition between our various team members to see who can cook, mix or create the best edible treat. We'll have a guest judge each time to keep it interesting, and post the winning recipes for you to recreate at home.
First up: chili cook-off. Everyone has a claim to making the best chili. In this round, Matt, Natalie and Abby square off to see whose meaty, wintery treat is deemed tops by our guest judge Paul Aguirre-Livingston.

The rules: make your best chili. Each competitor was judged based on four criteria: flavour, texture, colour/appearance and aftertaste, each scored out of 5. Our judging panel did not know who made which chili, to help eliminate any bias. We also gave our guest judge the final verdict in the case of a tie.
